Grant Title: Vernier/NSTA Technology Awards
Organization: Vernier Software and Technology and the National
Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
Eligibility: Educators
Value: Seven awards of up to $3,000 each
Deadline: October 15, 2006
A partnership of Vernier Software and Technology and the National
Science Teachers Association, this award recognizes the innovative
use of data collection technology using a computer, graphing
calculator, or handheld in the science classroom. Seven awards will
be presented, in the following categories: one elementary (grades
K-5); two middle level (grades 6-8); three high school (grades 9-12)
and one college.
AWARD:
The Award consists of a $1,000 prize, $1,000 in Vernier products and
an all expense paid trip to attend the NSTA National Conference on
Science Education (up to $1000). Awardees will be honored at the
Awards Banquet during the NSTA Conference.
