[Ecoed] Student section events proposed for 2007 meeting

In case these are of interest to anyone developing a workshop or session
for the 2007 meeting, here is a list of the student section events
proposed for 2007. These are all workshops or evening sessions.

How to Succeed in Ecology
What Editors Want
Ecology and Public Policy: Turning Scientific Insights into Practice
Grant Writing
Scientists Engaging the Media: Communicating Science to Society
How to Start Your Own Conservation Organization
How to Incorporate Educational Outreach into Your Research
Land and Keep an Academic Job at a Small Liberal Arts College

The student section will also conduct a business meeting and organize a
buddy/mentor system for first time attendees.

If you would like to help out with the planning or implementation of any
of the student section events that are being proposed, please email the
student section chair, Abraham Miller-Rushing (ajmr at bu.edu
<mailto:ajmr at bu.edu> ). He can put you in touch with the organizers of
each event.
