I teach a sophomore level ecology and evolution course so I'm even more
invested in finding an ecology text with a strong evolutionary
component. I've been using Krohne's General Ecology, but it seems to be
out of print. I plan to use Ricklefs and Miller Ecology 4th edition
next. It has a fairly strong evolutionary component and even has a
section with several chapters on evolution specifically. I haven't
taught with it yet so I can't be completely confident that it is
appropriate for a lower level undergrad course, but it seems like it
will work pretty well.
