(September 30, 2007 Washington D.C.) -   NAAEE's 2007 conference offers a
number of in-depth discussions in symposia and panel presentations that
offer multiple perspectives on a single topic:

 

*	Connecting Environmental Education and Music. Join Peter Yarrow,
John McCutcheon, Joe Uehlein, John Shortt, and Joe Lombardi to explore the
possibilities of weaving EE into the education mainstream through words and
music. Come ready to sing! NAAEE Past President Joseph Baust will moderate
the session.
*	Our Vision Widens: Combining Environmental Education, Environmental
Health, and Environmental Justice. Building on enthusiasm generated last
year, this forum with nationally known speaker Tom Goldtooth will explore
pathways to collaboration among environmental education, health, and
justice.
*	Industry, Sustainability, and Environment. This panel features
leaders from industry (including Calvert Asset Management Company, Intel,
and DuPont) discussing "how industry rates industry" in sustainability and
environmental practices, how industry makes these major decisions, and the
importance for environmental educators.
*	Alternative Fuels and Advanced Technology Vehicles
Examine alternative transportation options and why energy literacy is key in
helping society move in a new direction.
*	Internationalizing Sustainability Education: Challenges and
Opportunities. Advocates from Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan,
Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States will offer their
perspectives on how we internationalize sustainability education
*	Corporate Giving, Government Grants, & Foundation Funding. Join
Waste Management, Toyota, and Dominion Power executives as they discuss
corporate giving patterns; EPA, NOAA, USDA Forest Service, NSF, and USFWS
discuss successfully applying for government grants; the Beazley Foundation
and Community Foundation of Richmond to look at how private foundations
work.
