Teaching Assistant Professor

The Department of Biology of East Carolina University

applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track, teaching-intensive
position to begin August 11, 2008, with a focus on revising our
two-semester introductory biology series for majors. This appointment at
the rank of teaching assistant professor is for a two-year term with the
possibility for renewal. Summer teaching may also be available.
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated skills in
innovative teaching techniques and authoring educational grant
proposals. Appropriate service will be expected. Salary will be
commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications: A doctorate in the biological sciences or a
related field from an appropriately accredited institution and teaching
experience are required.
