Description/Responsibilities: Environmental Concern Inc, a national
non-profit organization is seeking an energetic and creative individual to
join our dynamic team of wetland education professionals as a Wetland Youth
Educator. The successful candidate will teach existing programs, and
collaborate in the development of new programs for youth ages pre K - 12th
grade in support of our mission to promote the understanding and stewardship
of wetlands. 

 

Specifically, the Youth Wetland Educator will:

*	Deliver quality wetland education programs to Delmarva schools
through the Wetlands on Wheels Mobile Classroom. 
*	Provide programming to Girl and Boy Scouts. 
*	Teach a variety of exciting wetland education programs to youth aged
K-12. 
*	Assist with designing thematic lesson plans, materials, and courses.
*	Assist with development of educational exhibits, interpretive
brochures, and other educational materials.
*	Other duties as assigned (may include design of marketing materials,
website maintenance, newsletter editing)

 

Minimum Qualifications:  In addition to a passion for wetlands, applicant
should possess a bachelor's degree in environmental studies environmental
education, natural resource management, science education, biological
sciences or related field and have at least one (1) year of experience in
environmental education program planning and instruction (or equivalent).
Applicants must also possess strong organizational, writing and
communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently, be
comfortable working independently and as a team with a diverse client base,
skilled at basic computer programs, and able to adjust to seasonal changes
in workload. Past experience with national youth organizations namely scouts
a plus.  This position requires a valid driver's license.

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:  Website maintenance (Dreamweaver),
lay-out and design (In-Design).
